I was meeting a friend for drinks at a historic hotel in downtown Austin, but I didnt see him in the dimly lit bar. I decided to wait on a nearby ottoman and I didnt realize until I sat down that it was upholstered in authentic cowhide–hair and all! I was shocked at first, and that gave way to fascination. Such rugged upholstery in such a refined hotel–which summed up Austin. Our oak Driskill Ottoman does the same dance between country and city with a body of linen and a top of hair-on-hide.
